August 2025 - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS - SALT SHED PAINTING PROJECT

In the mid summer, the salt shed located at the Department of Public works was repainted. The shed houses salt for the roads which is integral for the safety of residents in the winter. The structure had not been repainted since the original construction back around 2014. The existing paint had started to flake off, leaving the underlying structure exposed to the elements. For this project, the shed was power washed, scraped down, spot primed, then received two coats of finished paint which should extend the lifecycle of the structure.
